Vacancy 3 - Performing Arts Technician and Production Manager
Full time 37 hours per week - 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday –Thursday + 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday
Bucks Pay Range 2 (£18517 - £20800 per annum)
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working and enthusiastic person to work within our Performing Arts Faculty. The school has a purpose built Performing Arts centre. Accommodation comprises a Theatre with seating for 200, a suite of Music rooms, a Music Recording Studio and a new Dance Block containing three Dance Studios and more storage facilities. Experience of lighting and sound is essential. Dance, Drama, and Music are offered up to A Level and the successful candidate will sometimes support class teachers in their work.
The role has recently grown to include management of the technical aspects of large school events such as school productions, concerts, and whole school events such as the annual prizegiving ceremony held at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. Other productions are held at St Mary’s Church, Aylesbury and we have Rock Challenge Performances at the Wycombe Swan Theatre and Portsmouth GuildHall. A flexible work pattern is required to accommodate evening and weekend performances.
